Why isn’t the scale moving?
Ok, I’ve been on my diet since April 16th.
I’ve been walking at least an hour a day, sometimes 2.
I’ve only been drinking water and diet arizona green tea..
I haven’t been eating after 7 pm.
I’ve been eating very healthy.
Sample meal.
Breakfast, a bowl of smart start and fat free vanilla soy milk.
lunch, a robecks fruit smoothie or a piece of fruit..
dinner, a lean cuisine, or fish and salad..
ok i noticed that my bloat is gone, and my sister said my jeans look looser from the back.
so why isnt’ the scale moving? i’ve been doing good..
i haven’t cheated once.
advice? thanks
You’ve been on your diet for a grand total of six days and you’re worried about why the scale isn’t moving!?
Please, here me when I say, stop using the scale as your measure of success.
Grab a tape measure, put it around the widest part of your belly. Pull it tight enough so that it doesn’t slide down and record the number you see. Do this on the same day each week at the same time of day (ideally in the a.m.).
Exercise causes your body to add some muscle, especially if you haven’t been exercising before. This means any fat you lose can be offset by muscle weight being added. Total bodyweight lost can be zero, but fat loss can be a pound or two or more.
Keep eating well. Keep exercising. Add weight training to your routine. Give yourself permission to "screw up" from time to time. Don’t get hung up on what the scale says. It’s the worst measure of weight loss success.

Muscle weighs more than fat, maybe you’re gaining some muscle in your legs from walking. You really shouldn’t be focusing on your weight and instead see if you’re getting smaller/more toned.

Its not just about the scale. i suggest dont use it often! because it will make you feel worse sometimes.
its about the inches you lost, and how your clothes fit. Maybe the walking turned fat into muscle so the scale hasnt moved. But keep up the good work! You sound likr you are getting to your goal, buuuttt the scale isnt always the smartest thing to turn to during weight loss!
